GLOBALANE is a private car service in Vienna for visitors who would rather not work out trams, taxi ranks and car parks. You give us the address, the time and the number of people. We give you a fixed price before you travel, and a driver who is already waiting when you come out. Available around the clock, in Mercedes vehicles, from €69.
Vienna is a comfortable city to visit and an awkward one to drive in. The old centre is wrapped by the Ring (the wide boulevard that follows the line of the former city walls), and when the Ring backs up, everything behind it slows down with it. Streets in the first district are narrow, many of them run one way, and a free parking space near the address you actually want is rare. None of that is obvious from a map, and none of it is a good use of the start of a trip.
A car service solves it by removing the decisions. Our driver knows which routes hold up during the morning rush and which ones do not, so you are not the one deciding whether to risk the Ring at rush hour. You are collected from the address you named – a hotel entrance, a private flat, an office reception, a restaurant door – and set down at the address you named. There is no rank to find, no kerb to stand on, and no moment of wondering whether a car is coming at all.
The second thing it removes is arithmetic. Before you travel you are given a binding fixed price. That figure does not move afterwards. There is no waiting surcharge if the traffic is bad, no detour charge if the driver takes a different street, and no night surcharge for an early start or a late finish. Guests who are budgeting a trip in a currency they do not use at home tend to find this the most useful part.
The third is simply that someone is looking after you. The driver helps with the cases, holds the door, and adjusts the temperature and the music to whatever you want. If you are working, the car stays quiet and you take your calls in private. If you have been travelling since dawn, nobody talks to you. Both are correct answers, and you do not have to explain which one you want twice.
The fleet is Mercedes. Every car is serviced on schedule, cleaned between jobs and kept in proper mechanical order. The question that actually matters when you book is not which badge is on the bonnet but how many people are travelling and how many cases they are bringing. Cases are the part people underestimate. A group of adults with full-size suitcases and a set of skis is not a small-car job.
The Economy class is where our fixed prices begin, from €69. It suits a short hop across town, a single traveller with hand luggage, or anyone who wants a booked car with a named driver rather than a taxi flagged in the street, without paying for the executive interior.
The E-Class carries up to three passengers and is the usual choice for one or two people with normal luggage. It is quiet, the seats are leather, and it looks correct pulling up outside an office or a hotel. If you are in Vienna for meetings and moving between several addresses a day, this is the car you will end up in.
The V-Class takes up to eight passengers in individual seats, with genuine boot space behind them. It is the answer for families, wedding parties, colleagues arriving on the same flight, and anyone whose luggage would otherwise force a second vehicle. Groups stay together, which matters more than it sounds when nobody knows the city and some of the party has no phone signal.
The S-Class carries up to three passengers and is the car for occasions where the arrival is part of the event: a board meeting, a signing, a gala, a wedding, or a guest you are collecting personally. Long legroom, a properly quiet cabin, and the most comfortable seat in the fleet for a longer run out of the city.
If you are not sure which one fits, tell us the number of people and the number of cases and we will say which car to take. We would rather send the larger vehicle than have you standing on a pavement with a boot that will not close.
Most first bookings are an airport run. Vienna International Airport sits at Schwechat, a town outside the city to the south-east, so the transfer is a proper drive rather than a hop across a district. On the way out, we collect you from your address in good time and take you to the terminal. On the way in, the driver is there when you land, takes the luggage, and walks you to the car.
Give us your flight number when you book. That single detail is what lets us watch the actual arrival time rather than the one printed on your ticket, and adjust if you land late. It costs you nothing and it is the difference between a driver waiting and a driver gone. You also receive the driver and vehicle details before the day, so you know who is collecting you and what they are driving.
Rail arrivals work the same way. Wien Hauptbahnhof (Vienna’s main railway station) handles most international trains, and it is a large building with several exits – being met at a fixed, agreed point removes the usual walk in circles with a phone held up. We cover the other transport points in the city on the same terms, and we plan around your departure or arrival time rather than a rough guess.
River cruise passengers get the same treatment. If your ship berths on the Danube and you want to be at a restaurant, a concert hall or the airport at a set hour, the pick-up is arranged for the berth and the time, and the driver waits there. The same applies in reverse when you rejoin the ship after a day out.
We are reachable 24 hours a day, seven days a week. That is not a slogan about ambition; it is what an early-morning flight and a late curtain at the opera both require. Call +43 670 351 57 66, or write to us on WhatsApp on the same number.
For guests abroad, WhatsApp is usually the easier of the two. You can write at whatever hour suits your own time zone, you can spell out an Austrian street name instead of trying to pronounce it down a line, and everything is in writing, so no detail gets lost between the enquiry and the day itself. Photographs of a booking confirmation or a hotel address work perfectly well too.
The sequence is short. First, you send the details: pick-up address, destination, date, time, number of passengers and amount of luggage. Second, we check availability, recommend the vehicle if you would like a recommendation, and confirm the time and the binding fixed price. Third, at the agreed hour the driver is at the pick-up address. Fourth, you get in and we take it from there.
Bookings can be strung together as well. If you need a car in the morning, another after lunch and another in the evening, or if a family is splitting between different destinations on the same afternoon, we schedule the day as a single plan rather than a set of unrelated jobs. Half-day, full-day and multi-day arrangements are priced individually, so ask for a figure rather than assuming.
The bookings that come in are more varied than the phrase „chauffeur service“ suggests. Some are pure logistics. Some are about arriving somewhere in a particular way. A few are about not wanting to think about anything at all for a week. These are the ones we see most often.
Winter trips fall into that last category more often than people expect. A family flying into Vienna and continuing to the mountains can do the whole thing in one vehicle, with the skis and the cases in the back and no changes on the way. The same is true of a summer run out of the city for a day and back again in the evening.
Short notice is fine as well. Plans change, meetings run over, a train is cancelled, someone decides late in the evening that they would rather not drive home. A single call or message is enough, and we will tell you straight away what is available.
Transparent prices, no hidden extras and no night surcharge. Fixed prices start at €59 for the Economy class. Hourly rates for the executive fleet:
Half-day, full-day and multi-day packages are calculated individually. Send us the outline of what you need and we will quote it. There is no obligation attached to asking.
A booking goes wrong for boring reasons, almost always because something was assumed rather than said. These are the things worth writing down when you send the enquiry.
If you are unsure about any of it, ask. Answering a question before the day costs nothing. Sorting the same thing out on the pavement with a flight to catch costs considerably more.
You do not have to look for him. You receive the driver’s name and the vehicle details before the day, and the driver is already at the arrivals area when your flight lands. He takes the luggage and walks you to the car. Because we watch your flight number, this holds whether you land on time or well behind schedule.
It is fixed. You are given a binding price before the journey and that is the figure that applies. Nothing is added for waiting time, for congestion, or because the driver took a different street. That is the whole point of agreeing the price in advance.
Give us the flight number when you book. We then follow the actual arrival time rather than the scheduled one and move the pick-up accordingly. You do not need to call us from the aircraft or from passport control.
Yes. Tell us at the time of booking how many children are travelling and we will arrange it. The same applies to any other request: a particular drink, no music, a stop along the way. Say so in advance and it is prepared before the car arrives.
The Mercedes E-Class and the S-Class each carry up to three passengers comfortably. The Mercedes V-Class takes up to 8 people with their luggage. If you are close to the limit on either count, tell us the number of cases as well as the number of people and we will send the larger car.
We drive at any hour, seven days a week, and there is no night surcharge. A pick-up before dawn for the first flight of the day is priced the same way as one in the middle of the afternoon.
You know the fixed price before you travel, so there is nothing to work out at the end of the journey. You pay online when you book – by card, Apple Pay, EPS, Klarna or another method offered at checkout. Payment in the vehicle or to the driver is not possible; payment on account is available to approved business customers only. There are no extras added afterwards.
The agreed fixed price covers the journey. Nothing is added to it and nothing is expected on top of it. Anything beyond that is entirely your own decision.
Yes. We operate across Europe as well as in Vienna: a transfer into a neighbouring Austrian province, a cross-border business trip to Bratislava, Budapest, Munich or Prague, or a journey of several days with the same personal driver. Tell us the route and we will organise it.
The earlier the better, particularly for weekends, public holidays and peak hours, because that is what secures a specific vehicle at a specific time. We are reachable 24 hours a day, though, and short-notice bookings are taken whenever availability allows.
Yes, stops can be planned into the journey. Mention where and roughly how long when you book, so the time and the price account for it from the start rather than being adjusted afterwards.
Cancellation is possible up to 7 days before the journey for a 10% fee (90% refund). If something shifts inside that window, contact us anyway – plans change, and it is always better to tell us than to leave a driver waiting.
That is a common booking. We coordinate consecutive journeys as a single plan, which is how business delegations and families heading to different places on the same afternoon usually book. Half-day, full-day and multi-day arrangements are quoted individually.
Yes. Our drivers work with discretion, keep conversations to themselves and stay out of your way. You can take calls, read documents or say nothing at all for the whole journey, which is why business travellers and private guests book the same service for different reasons.
Ask for a quote with no obligation. We reply promptly, around the clock.
Tell us the address, the date and the number of people, and you will have a fixed price back before you commit to anything. Around the clock, door to door, in a Mercedes with a named driver, from €59. Call +43 670 351 57 66 or send the details on WhatsApp, and we will confirm the car and the time.
