Contracts, original deeds, hard drives and confidential files travel in a chauffeur’s car from your office straight to the person you name. No sorting centre, no reloading, nobody else in the car. What we carry, and what we do not
We carry what one person can take by hand. For the right-hand column we are the wrong company, and we say so.

Keys, prototypes and samples will follow once insurance for them is in place. The service is built for companies and organisations; private individuals are welcome to enquire.
From enquiry to handover in five steps
- Enquiry. Addresses, time window, what the consignment is, roughly how big and heavy, and the recipient’s name.
- Quote. We call back with a price and a collection time. Companies receive an invoice, private clients a payment link.
- Collection. The driver takes the consignment from the person you name and, if you wish, seals and photographs it.
- Direct drive. No other passengers, no other consignments, no stop on the way.
- Handover and report. To the named person only, never a neighbour, letterbox or unattended reception; identity check, signature and photograph if requested. You then receive our report with the time and the recipient’s name.
Three ways to use the service
Direct drive
For contracts and originals that must arrive today: a car and a driver for this consignment alone, handover to the named person, report with the time.
Sealed, with a handover record
For data carriers, notarial deeds and anything your compliance rules call confidential: everything above, plus a tamper-evident bag with a numbered seal, photographs at collection and handover, an identity check, a signature and a written record, for now on paper in two copies, one of them yours.
Regular runs for companies
For offices with recurring deliveries: fixed collection times, the same driver wherever possible, one monthly invoice, a confidentiality agreement on request.
Who sends with us
- Embassies and international organisations. Papers between a mission, a ministry, the UN’s Vienna International Centre and the OSCE arrive with a chauffeur rather than in a courier van.
- Law firms and notaries. Signed originals between your office, clients and other firms, with a signature on handover.
- IT companies and data centres. Hard drives and backup media between sites: sealed, never opened, never copied.
- Hotels and concierges. A passport or contract a guest left behind, brought to the guest’s next address.
If you prefer to travel with your documents yourself, book a chauffeur by the hour: an ordinary passenger drive, bookable online.
Cars, area, hours and price
For courier drives we use our saloon cars and the V-Class: Economy, Premium, First Class and Premium Van, described on our chauffeur service page. None carries courier lettering; our minibuses and coaches carry no consignments.
We collect and deliver in Vienna and its surroundings, including the airport; Bratislava, Budapest, Munich, Prague and other destinations abroad are quoted on request. Same-day collection as soon as a driver is free, or at a fixed time; at night and at weekends by arrangement. When we quote, we give you a realistic time, not a promise to the minute.
A courier drive is priced like a chauffeur drive on the same route in the same vehicle class; the classes are listed on our prices page. Sealed bag, handover record and waiting time are quoted separately, in writing, before the drive. Companies pay by invoice; private clients receive a payment link, and their drive is confirmed once payment has arrived.
Questions we are asked
Are you a security company or a valuables transport?
No. GLOBALANE is a chauffeur company with a passenger transport licence. In Austria only licensed security companies may carry money, jewellery and other valuables, and we are not one. What we offer is a direct drive by a single driver, handover to the named person only, and a record of it.
What happens if the recipient is not there?
The driver hands the consignment to nobody else, calls you and lets you decide: wait, at the waiting rate of the booked class; deliver to another person you name; or bring the consignment back to you.
Can you deliver to a court or an authority so that a deadline is met?
Not in the legal sense. We deliver during opening hours and bring back whatever receipt is issued. With a private courier, however, only the moment the authority receives the consignment counts, not the day of posting, and our handover is no substitute for registered post. Allow a margin and check deadlines with your lawyer.
Do you open, copy or store data carriers?
No. Hard drives, tapes and USB sticks travel closed, in a sealed bag if you wish, and are handed over as collected. We keep nothing overnight and copy nothing. If your data protection officer needs a written agreement, say so when you enquire.
How is a consignment covered if it is lost or damaged?
Our liability follows Austrian transport law, which measures compensation by the weight of the consignment, not by the value of its contents. Keep a copy of your data and encrypt data carriers where you can, and tell us before the drive if a consignment needs more than this statutory liability; we will say what we can offer.
Can the driver wait for a signature and bring the document back?
Yes. The driver waits while the recipient signs, then brings the original back. The fixed price covers the outward drive; waiting time is booked by the hour, and the return drive is then included.
Send us the details of your consignment
Collection address, destination, time window, what the consignment is and roughly how big and heavy, the recipient’s name, and whether you would like a call back. The automatic reply only confirms that your enquiry has arrived; the drive is booked once the price is agreed and, for private clients, paid.
